Cosy home office

As working from home is becoming the norm, we are all looking for creative ways to integrate a home office into our spaces. Here you can see an example where a room was designed with a double function – dressing room and home office – without having the feeling you are working inside your wardrobe!

“Due to the Corona pandemic we really needed an additional home office. But we also wanted a dressing room to better store and organise our clothes, shoes and accessories. We did not know how to combine these 2 dreams effectively, but Tamara came up with a design where both were possible, without compromise! The result is magnificent! I just LOVE working from home now. Also, the wooden wall behind my desk, dressed with plants and light bulbs, is THE eye catcher in every video meeting. Some people even spot the real vintage desk lamp I love so much, and the travel souvenirs in the book case give my workspace an extra personal touch to dream away by ?.

As you walk into the room, the main dressing area is on the left, with an open dressing, whereas the office area is located in front of the window for the most pleasant working from home experience. The back of the wardrobes has been finished with wood, for a warm and cosy feel. Greenery and lighting have been integrated for additional cosiness AND a beautiful backsplash for video calls ;-).

The wood & metal industrial style book shelf has been beautifully styled with books, photos and accessories already available in the house. The wood & metal desk got it’s very own center piece with a real vintage banker’s lamp.

The cupboards on the right have closed doors, which makes for not feeling like you are working from inside your wardrobe :-).
